To kick things off, here are my top 10 beauty awards. I can't wait to hear about your favorites!
- Essie Nail Polish in Mademoiselle and OPI Lincoln Park After Dark. My go-to for years, this is the perfect sheer pink for a clean, classic manicure. For my toes, I prefer neutral shades as well, although I occasionally enjoy OPI’s Lincoln Park After Dark—it’s plum shade is sexy, but not too dark.
- La Mer Lip Baume De La Mer. Insanely expensive but worth every penny. Loaded with vitamins, botanicals, and marine extracts with a delicate vanilla-mint scent. I can’t live without it.
- Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. Just one drop will erase a blemish overnight. Like magic. I even have my husband and guy friends using it.
- Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer. Creamy stick that covers my dark circles, even after writing (or drinking!) all night. Very natural color--not too pink, not too gold.
- Dior Dior Show Mascara. I fancy myself a mascara connoisseur and this one can’t be topped. The big, fat, generous brush keeps the lashes in line and adds incredible texture and length. And of course, I use the Shu Uemura eyelash curler first. Who doesn’t?
- Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner. Creates a deep, opaque color that stays put once it dries (even at the beach!). Easy to work with and great for creating a smoky eye. Can even take the place of an eye-shadow.
- MAC blushcreme in posey. A perfect, everyday shade that goes with just about anything. Blends beautifully, and you can even apply with your fingers when you’re in a pinch. Nars orgasm is a close second for blush!
- Petite Cherie by Annick Goutal. My current favorite scent. A heavenly, light mix of vanilla, peach, musk rose and freshly cut grass.
- Patricia Wexler M.D. Sensitive Skin Calming Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 30. A gentle sunscreen that absorbs instantly—and never irritates my annoyingly sensitive skin. I put it on every morning.
- Paula Dorff Perfect Primer. Long-lasting foundation primer that keeps foundation and make-up fresh while nourishing with mango butter to minimize fine lines. On your next trip to NYC, visit Leonora at the Paula Dorff counter at Henri Bendel. She does amazing eyes. Tell her I said hello!

Ooooo, I love a good giveaway and this is a GREAT one! My favorite beauty "go-to's" are Smashbox Photo Finish primer, Maybelline Great Lash mascara, Cherry Chapstick, and Aveda Volumizing Tonic. Used all of these for YEARS (too many to admit)! Thanks, Emily!
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm going to steal this line from that fabulous movie "Kissing Jessica Stein", but as one the characters says, "You have to blend" in order to get the perfect lip color.
For day time, I use Mac Pro Longwear Lipstain marker in Modern Mocha, then using a brush, I place a light coat of Clinque's Aomost Lipstick in Black Honey (best color ever!) For dressier occasions, I skip the Mac and go straight to Clinique's Long Last lipstick in Vintage Wine, followed by a coat of the Black Honey.
My younger sister is a MAC make up artist, my yongest sister worked for Chanel make up, and my mom worked for Clinique, so I have been surrounded by great beauty products for as long as I can remember; however my absolute go-to has got to be Maybelline Great Lash Mascara! I even did my final marketing presentation for my college major on the product (complete with the signature pink and green tabs for each section!). As much as I adore Dior Show Mascara (thanks Sephora for letting me try before I buy!!), nothing compares to the price and quality of Great Lash!!
ReplyDeleteI am hopelessly devoted to Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. Keeps my skin soft and smooth but not greasy. LOVE this stuff!
ReplyDeleteI have a new Can't Live Without product that I just came upon about a year ago right before my wedding. It is the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 in clear. While I love a little bit of color this is the most amazing stuff out there in terms of moisture and SPF in one. Most of the SPF lip balms that I have tried feel sticky and lets just say tastes "yuck"....this however has a nice lemon scent and is super smooth on your lips!
ReplyDeleteAdd to that, even my husband doesn't mind kissing me because its not sticky--which is ALWAYS a good thing!
I am not complete without my Almay liquid eyeliner. It makes all the difference in the world...my only must have. And it stays put all day. Opening up my eyes with my eyeliner can make even the worst face day a great day.:)
ReplyDeleteAs Lori already posted, I cannot live without my Clinique Dramtically Different Moisturizing Lotion and Sephora lip gloss. Each a quick little pick me up.
ReplyDeleteAs funny as it sounds, I cannot live without Vaseline. With the amount of time I spend outside - both in warm and cold weather - I need something to keep both my hands and lips moisturized. I always have a travel thing of Vaseline in my purse wherever I go! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't wear a ton of makeup, but I never leave the house without my Bare Escentuals matte powder. I put SPF 15 lotion on first, then top with the sheer powder. It covers like a true foundation, but without feeling heavy and too makeup-y!
ReplyDeleteI have been in love with L'Occitane Shea Butter for years now. It's the only thing that will take care of my insanely dry hands and lips in the winter...it's the best!
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of Maybelline Great Lash mascara. Cheap, effective, and dramatic.
ReplyDeleteJan Marini Bio-Clear lotion is like heaven in a bottle.
ReplyDeleteI don't wear a lot of make-up but the item I NEED constantly is Dew Kiss chapstick from Avon. :)
ReplyDeleteOoo! Freebies :) Love, love, love bareMinerals lip trio...a tidy little package of liner, lipstick and gloss. Life is too crazy to mix & match so I love when it's done for me.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love Chanel's Giggle lip gloss, Oil of Olay's Regenerist serum and sculpting cream, and C.O. Bigelow's Lemon Body Cream. So, so good.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love face product's that are natural... I feel prettier thinking that I am going natural...
ReplyDeleteNow a days I am loving the tinted moisturizer from Physician Formula
and I love Burt Bee's chapstick
I was very pleased to find this site.I wanted to thank you for this great read!! I definitely enjoying every little bit of it and I have you bookmarked to check out new stuff you post.
ReplyDeletenatural organic skincare cosmetics
Incredibly basic, my favorite single beauty product that I can't live without is Aquaphor. I use it on dry elbows and knees for dewy skin, on my lips for a shine that's not too gunky, and blend it with my favorite eye shadows to create a darker and more dramatic look. With such versatility, the affordable price is just a bonus!
ReplyDeleteEminence Organic Suger Plum Whip Moisturizer: Been using Dermalogica producs for years, but love the organic line of Eminence - makes my skin feel soft and hydrated. Anit-aging, too. Can't go wrong with that. Can't leave home without it. I believe in this product.
ReplyDeleteMAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural: it's intended use is to fix and set your foundation, but it has enough color to act as your base foundation alone. It has a light, clean feel and makes my skin look flawless :)
MAC Brow Set in Show Off: A brush-on gel that shapes and styles my brows. The brown adds a hint of color that really defines my brows. Love it!
Maybelline the Falsies Volum Express: practically has the same effect of wearing false lashes. Really like the bold, dramatic look it gives me.
MAC Lip Pencil in Burgundy and MAC Lipstick in Frost Fresh Moroccan: this combo makes me feel confident and sexy, and my husband loves the color on me. It's a dark red, but still appropriate enough to wear to work and for play :)
I am IN LOVE with Victorias Secret body spray..the scent is passionate kisses. I was so sad when they discontinued this scent! :( ah! This scent was a little peice of heaven for me!! I barley use my body spray at all now. I only use it for special occasions because I want to try to make it last as long as possible!! I am so sparing with it haha!! This body spray smells soo wonderful ladies you should definatly try it out if you can find some! This scent is magical, it makes me feel so much better if I am having a bad day. Or if you are having one of those days where no matter what you do you just dont feel sexy, VOILA spray some VS Pasionate Kisses and instant sex appeal! haha
ReplyDeleteall about the o-natural so I love the butterfly Lip Nectar :)
ReplyDeleteMy other favorite product is sally hansens airbrush legs!!! :)
Nice tan, without the effects of the tanning bed!
Tiffany Sutton
Color science sunscreen powder brush. Powder sunscreen....genius!
ReplyDeletecurrently my fave product is Benefit "Hello Flawless" powder
ReplyDeleteBurts bees Radiance Lip Shimmer- while you are getting a lip balm that tingles from the peppermint oils you also get a lovely sheer shimmer of color. It is a nice light shimmery color which comliments any mouth and is very light for us gals that don't like to wear a more natural lip color. Plus, it is such a steal!
ReplyDeletemy favorite beauty product is Aveeno's Positively Ageless daily moisturizer with 30 spf. I have been using it for a year now and it has made my skin look younger and wrinkle free. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite beauty product is Mary Kay's Creamy Cleanser Formula 2. I have very sensitive skin and this cleans my skin without leaving it dry and also removes makeup. I don't know what's in it, but it works leaps and bounds better than anything else I've tried. I've used this since I first started wearing make up and cleaning my face!
ReplyDelete1)Triple Lanolin Aloe Vera with Lavender
ReplyDelete2)Sebastian Whipped Creme(great for curly hair!)
It literally looks like whipped creme. :)
I can't start (or end!) my day without Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash, Bliss Daily Detoxifying Toner, and Lush Goregous Moisturizer.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite product is FRESH supernova mascara. for an extra effect, I add FRESH firebird mascara on top.
ReplyDeleteI can not live without, and this will sound strange, but my Revlon nail polish in black! I must be on my fourth bottle this year!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to win such a great prize!
Love you and love your books!
Laura Mercier...all of her stuff (she has a flawless makeup line!)...but specifically her Tinted Moisturizer and her Almond Coconut Milk Souffle Body Creme. The tinted moisturizer makes your sink glow and look flawless without feeling like you're wearing make-up AND has SPF in it. The body creme makes your sink UNBELIEVABLY smooth....and you smell delicious:)
ReplyDeleteI do not straighten my hair without using Biosilk Silk Therapy, it leaves your hair shiny and smelling delish!!!! My go to eyeshadows have to Urban Decay the colors are long lasting and do not wear off for anything. For a simple lipstick I love MACs High strung, gives you a hint of color and shine LOVE IT!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful contest!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite beauty product is PSSSST Dry Shampoo. It's inexpensive but amazing!! Not only does it let you go without washing your hair everyday, but it adds wonderful volume.
As for skin care, I love the Obagi line.
I have a lot of go-to's and favorites but something I can't live without is Dew Kiss chap stick from Avon. I have one at my desk, nightstand, table, you get the pictures :)
ReplyDeletei love estee lauder idealist serum!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love Chanel's lipstick in "Marilyn", Estee Lauder's lipstick in "Tiramisu", my Shu eyelash curler, and my Hempz body lotion! Thanks for offering such a fabulous contest!!
ReplyDeleteMy can't live withouts are Bare Minerals foundation- it gives great coverage, feels light (you can't even tell you have it on), looks amazing and best of all it's all natural and good for your skin- and they don't test on animals! Another must have is Burt's Bee's Pomegranate lip balm and any kind of Maybeline Mascara. I also am a mascara connoisseur and I've tried just about EVERY mascara (except Dior Show, I need to get on that!) and Maybeline's are the best quality and best value out there! Can't beat an amazing mascara at $5-$10 per tube!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Hypnose Deep Black Mascara by Lancome...no one needs fake lashes with this product...everytime I wear it I get asked if I have lashes on...Great :)
ReplyDeleteMy "Can't Live Without" is my Bare Escentuals Foundation in "Fairly Light," and my Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Emily -- Hope I win!! Yay! <3
I absolutely love Kiehl's Epidermal Retexturizing Microdermabrasion and the Cle de Pau Creme Intensive Correctice Rides (basically an anti-wrinkle cream). I know
ReplyDeleteCle de Pau is a bit pricey, but so worth it - and definetely a less expensive option than some 'doctor performed' treatments ;) Great results - no need for make up!
Hey Emily-
ReplyDeleteSo, I didn't make it to the reunion, so we couldn't share great eco tips there- but my favorite is SpaRitual Vegan Polish (of course, for Halloween time Drop Dead Gorgeous is my favorite). How convenient that you can get them on my eco-friendly website www.favortheearth.com! Glad to hear everything is going well with you!
~Stefanie
I would LOVE to win this! I am slowly going organic with my diet and I really do believe that it is making a difference! I'd love to go organic with my beauty products! My top 2 favorite beauty products (its a tie)are:
ReplyDeleteBuxom Lip Gloss
and Origins a perfect world moisturizer
The lip gloss makes my lips look flawless evertime, and the moisturizer helps my make up glow and look flawless as well! Both are totally worth every penny!
I don't like a lot of makeup but what I do like I stick with forever:
ReplyDelete1) Clinique's dramatically different moisturizing lotion
2)MAC's kohl power eye pencil (various colors)
3) Smashbox's Halo
4)philosophy's body wash in crispy marshmallow bars and chocolate fudge cake
I wear tons of eye-makeup and have been looking for the best eyemakeup remover for years...finally found it!
ReplyDeleteMary Kay oil free eyemakeup remover, amazing stuff...I can't live without it! It's gentle enough yet does the trick w/o having to scrub the delicate skin around your eyes. It's a must-have!
Btw, hi Emily :)
I'm in love with Jane Iredale's Pure Pressed Powder and Dream Tint Tinted Moisturizer. Gorgeous shades (amber is my color), great coverage and no talc! My skin is clearer, softer and healthier looking since I made the switch from Bare Minerals. It's a must try!!
ReplyDeleteI love this give away!!!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I have often wondered "If I was stranded on a island and only had one beauty product I could take with me, what would it be?"
I always struggle with the same 2 answers either my Cherry Chapstick or my Clinique Superdefense facial moisturizer with SPF 25.
I think when it came down to it, I would grab the Clinique, hate to leave without some SPF for my skin!
Philosophy Supernatural makeup!!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many things I can't live without! I love Neutrogena Healthy Skin Tinted Moisturizer. I gives coverage to my skin, but it not heavy. It really make the skin glow without being cakey.
ReplyDeleteOf course, I love my chapstick, too. I would never leave home without it!
PS-Lincoln Park after Dark is a great color - it is on my toes right now!
What a clever idea!! That gift basket looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite beauty product, hands down, is Umberto's Blow Dry Lotion. I use it daily before I dry my hair, and it is SO soft even after the harsh blow-drying. Plus, I love how it makes my hair smell!
I would have to say that my all time favorites are from Origins:
ReplyDeleteZero Oil™
Pore purifying toner with Saw Palmetto & Mint, A Perfect World™ White tea skin guardian, Zero Oil™ Deep pore cleanser with Saw Palmetto & Mint,A Perfect World™ SPF 25 Age-defense moisturizer with White Tea.
I think my favourite beauty "indulge" is Arbonne's "Awaken" Sea Salt Scrub. I think I could dip my entire body in that if I could find a vat large enough!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteOPI Lincoln Park After Dark! It's the color I wear on my toes practically all year long...except on those few occasions that I stray and then wish I didn't! I love it and think it looks great on anyone!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Emily. Dior Dior Show Mascara is by the best out there. I wear it everyday. I don't know what I'd do without it!
ReplyDeleteI am really keeping my fingers crossed on this one...I hope I win!
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are:
-Laura Marcier tinted facial moisturizer. The colors and coverage are just as great as wearing a foundation, but it is very light weight and non greasy. Love this!
-Bobbi Brown Long wearing gel eyeliner in black plum ink (I have green eyes and it really makes them pop)
-Mac Clear LipGlass. Nothing, and I repeat nothing will make your lips look as juicy or plump as this lipglass. It is fabulous.
-Mac Lipglass in Pink Poodle. This is the perfect shade of pink and it makes your lips soo full!
-Estee Lauder bronze goddess. This stuff will make you look like you sun kissed without having to risk the UV rays. It is liquid so that makes is soooo easy to apply!
By the way...love the books!
Thanks!
Sara Palacios
Wow awesome contest! My go-to stuff is pretty cheap - Pond's Cold Cream. Leaves my skin moisturized & takes off makeup as well! Plus I just love the scent! It's great for a drugstore product. Also cheap & cheerful is Strawberry Kiwi LipSmackers! Just the original stick, it gets my lips shiny, smells great and adds just a hint of pink. I use that & Sephora eyeshadow daily!
ReplyDelete-Sasha
My daily necessities are: Dior waterproof eyeliner (never smudges, great color), Clinique Moisture Sheer Tint with SPF 15 (I love how light it is!), a dusting of Smashbox bronzer, and Too Faced Lash Injection mascara (I like the thin brush). For my always apt-for-frizziness hair, I used Frizz Living Proof styling cream and some CHI oil for smoothness.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous prize! One of my can't-live-without beauty products is Sara Happ
ReplyDeletelip scrib in peppermint! So amazing!
Cheers!
so excited for the contest! well, i have several must-have beauty products: (1) Almay Hypo-Allergenic Eye Makeup Remover Pads (Oil-Free), (2) Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser; and (3) pretty much any nail polish, with my current fave being OPI's "Lincoln Park After Dark".
ReplyDeleteFun contest! I wear two brands of cosmetics: Bare Escentuals and Shu Uemura. Bare Escentuals has been the only foundation make up that works with my sensitive skin. I love experimenting with all of the wonderful products ... radiances, blushes, eye liners, etc. And for my eyes and lips, I love splurging on Shu Uemura's colorful line. I also use Shu's eyelash curler and facial cleansing oil.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit fan of Philosophy's lotion and shower gels, Cinnamon Bun being my favorite.
And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Oil of Olay Complete with SPF 15, a staple of mine for many years!
Can't live without my Burt's Bee's Pomegranate and Soy Shampoo and Conditioner. What started out as a stocking stuffer from my husband has become an obsession. Love the way me hair feels afterward and can't get enough of the smell!
ReplyDeleteThe gift basket looks delightful!
I'm a pretty simple when it comes to my daily routine, but I love trying new things! I wear Carmex Moisture Plus lip balm and Alabaster perfume by Banana Republic. I also enjoy the Curls Rock line by Tigi...but I'm a graduate student, so that's a definite splurge :-) My day-to-day products are either Herbal Essence or Pantene.
ReplyDeletesince i'm so fair (read: nearly transparent), i can't wear too much makeup w/out looking hooker-ish. so i am obsessed with skincare, particularly moisturizer. my favorites is clinique superdefense spf 25 age defense moisturizer (totally amazing what it does for your skin). i also love the clinique total turnaround visible skin renewer, which is a chemical exfoliator that really makes your skin shine. and of course, bert's bees beeswax lip balm, which i must apply about 20 times a day.
ReplyDeleteBOTOX! By far my favorite beauty product is Botox! If you've tried it you know why. If you haven't tried Botox, what are you waiting for! I always look refreshed and get tons of compliments on my skin. I still look natural and always have women ask, what is my secret ? I tell them Botox!
ReplyDeleteAgreed that Mary Kay Oil Free Eye Make-up Remover is the best around. I wear MK Ultimate Mascara which I love because it never flakes, smears or wears off. CoverBlend by Exuviance is the only foundation I will put on my face. Avon's Mark bronzer gives me a healthy glow as opposed to my usual vampire pale!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I would do without Pantene conditioner. I have very long, very thick hair and I don't have to use any other products to tame it. I blow dry right after conditioning and it comes out salon perfect every time. My friends keep asking me what I did to my hair. I say "I brushed it!" No big secret :-)
PS: Emily, I loved your article on giveaways and how you really connect with your readers. You certainly know what women want!!! Thanks for always thinking of us.

ReplyDeleteI can't live without my Bare Minerals makeup! The foundation blends amazingly and all their products are great. I love their volumizing mascara too. My other beauty must have is my Nivea chapstick. It gives my lips the perfect look and it's silky smooth without being sticky at all. Thanks for the contest Emily! You're the best!!
ReplyDeleteI love Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer also. Rhubarb is just a slight shade darker than my natural lips so it gives just a little color with a tingly moisturizing shimmer.
ReplyDeleteHi there!
ReplyDeleteAfter a long day of wearing makeup I love nothing more than kiehl's supremely gentle eye makeup remover. It feels amazing, never hurts your eyes, and takes off everything!
Also not an official beauty product.... But I can't live without taking fish oil (from cvs, gnc, etc) everyday! It makes your hair and nails feel unbelievable. No need for that extra amount of conditioner in the shower.
Thanks so much!
Emily, you know me, I'm a simple girl, so my favorite can't-live-without beauty products are ... drum roll please for the glamour gal that I am ....

I love your books and love how involved you are with your readers.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite beauty product is Aveda's entire Go Curly line - makes naturally curly hair beautiful.
Thanks!
Emily- sounds like an amazing giveaway especially since I am obsessed with all things beauty. I have two fantastic products that I think are worth sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe first, is Boscia Luminizing Black Mask. It looks like black tar (a bit intimidating!) but once it dries it peels off in one layer taking any of your impurities with it! http://www.bosciaskincare.com/newsite/product_detail.php?cPath=0&products_id=116&category=new&dept_id=35&gclid=CM6A2sjJr6QCFZNo5QodnU3ymQ
The second is ESPA's ESPA Pink Hair and Scalp Mud (I'm such a hair
product girl). It's a hair and scalp treatment that uses red and white clay to condition your hair. A must have for damaged hair!
http://www.espaonline.com/spa-products/products/Pink-Hair-And-Scalp-Mud/
Both are a tad on the expensive side, but completely worth it!
Love all the books and keeping up with you on facebook. You're the best!

My favorite beauty product that I cannot live without is from Origins. Origins is an amazing company; they are "powered by nature and proven by science" (www.origins.com. My favorite product (I use it daily) is Origins Underwear for Lids. It is a primer that you put on your eyelids; it will keep your eyeshadow in place ALL DAY. No creasing! For a matte look, I use the original formula, and for a shimmery, more beachy look, I use "beige glaze." This product is amazing and works great on sensitive skin. LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteCourtney
I am not one to shop from home shopping networks however on my mothers suggestion I decided to give WEN Cleansing conditioner a try almost certain I would be dissapointed as I usually am in hair products. So not the case! I cannot live without WEN in my household. We(myself, my husband and my daughter) all love it and are hooked. Hair products are a big deal in my house as both my daughter and husband have amazing curls that can become quite scary with the wrong products. My husband starts warning me when it is on the verge of running out reminding me how unruly his curly hair will get without it. I thought certainly he would not be impressed by a hair product that he would normally consider "too expensive for shampoo." However, it has not only replaced shampoo and conditioner we use it as styling cream, and shaving cream. It leaves our skin just as smooth and silky as it does our hair and getting a comb through my daughters hair is no longer a nightmare :))
ReplyDeleteMy favorites that I have been using for a loong time are:
ReplyDelete1. Laura Mercier Secret Concealer
2. MAC Viva Glam lipglass
3. MAC Turquotic perfume (only $25!)
4. Patricia Wexler Intensive 3 in 1 eye cream, day cream spf 30, mmpi skin regenerating serum
5. Orgins silk screen refining powder

I have a smorgasboard of producs I love to use. It would be too easy if they were all the same brand and I like to be a little difficult. Here are some of my favorites:
ReplyDelete1. MAC Vilva Glam lipstick with a coat of next item on top.
2. Buxon Lipgloss in the shade Dolly. It is neutral and goes with everything. Gives a cool feeling for hours.
3. Essie Nailpolsih in Mademoiselle. Nautral with a touch of pink that goes with anything.
4. Donna Karren Cashmere Mist Deodorant. Love It!! Smell nice and I don't ever sweat. Lasts at least six months!
5. Derma Doctor Wrinkle Revenge. Moisterizer that you can actually see working. Smooths fine lines and clarifies skin.
My favorite products are: AMAZING GM Collin Hydromucine moisturizer - which has done wonders for my 38 year old suntanning, coffee drinking and occasional smoking skin! Colorscience Wild to Mild bronzer and Smashbox sheer lip gloss. This is the most unsticky gloss and looks really nice on!
ReplyDeleteI love witch hazel and vitamin e oil
ReplyDeleteAs a new mom, my absolute favorite beauty product is Mary Kay's Soothing Eye Gel.
ReplyDeleteIt is a secret-keeper. I can put it on in the morning after a long night and pair it with a little cup of coffee, and no one would ever know I was up all night.

www.candyappleboutique.blogspot.com
SUNGLASSES! Whether I am "undone", sleep deprived or just not looking my best, I slip on my Jackie O sunglasses and viola! ... I look and feel like a million bucks!
ReplyDeleteMary Kay Satin Hands is key for me as a new mommy. I wash my hands and use hand sanitizer so much that it makes my hands feel normal and soft again.
ReplyDeleteLUSH Enchanted Eye Cream with lavender and honey! It makes the skin around my eyes sigh in relaxation.
ReplyDeleteAhh!! There are so many to choose from but... I really love Aloette products and my favourite must be Aloepure Time Repair Serum. I love the way my skin looks so fresh and smooth afterwards!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, there are so many! But, If I HAD to choose I would go with NARS Eye Liner Pencil in 'Iceberg' (crisp white)!!!! It makes your eyes look double the size! I also use it under my eyebrows (blended of course) for what looks like an instant brow lift... and sometimes I draw a thin line above my upper lip and blend - this creates a highlighting sort of effect which makes my puny, thin lips look a little more pouty!!! Yup, definitely a good WHITE EYE LINER!!
ReplyDelete-Trish x

Thanks to all entrants for the interesting products mentioned!
What a great give away!
ReplyDeleteA few of my favs:

-Aveda Blue Oil- really helps out when I am stressed.
-Origins Checks and Balances face wash- perfectly frothy and cooling. Also helps out with acne.
-Bobbi Brown pink ribbon shimmer brick- it is the perfect mix of blushes with not too much shimmer.
-Bobbi Brown long wear gel eyeliner - I wear it in violet ink since I have green eyes....it really makes them pop!
-Estee Lauder advanced night repair serum - perfectly smooth and creamy. I can literally see results in the morning.
-Lancome Juicy Tube in Magic Spell - juicy and shiny. Makes my lips look very plump! Love this stuff!
-Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm- My everyday staple and go to for dry lips. Nothing works better than this stuff.
This was fun! I am keeping my fingers crossed on winning the prize!
Thanks for writing so many fabulous books and giving me something to read! :)
Hope you enjoy my product reviews! :)
I LOVE Dermalogica products. All of them. They are magic. The Antioxidant Hydramist toner is by far my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI have always said that I'm not a shoe girl, and that instead I buy hair products. :) My favorite product to protect my hair while leaving it very shiny is a Glossing Mist by Purology. The bottle sprays the perfect amount of mist, which I use on clean, dry hair just before running my straightener over it. It never leaves my hair greasy (seriously, even if you think you've accidentally sprayed too much) and smells amazing. It's a tad pricey if you're used to getting drug store bargains, but it's always nice to support your local salon and one bottle of this Glossing Mist lasts forever! :) Sometimes you can find Purology at Target for less money too!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE products! My favorites right now are:
ReplyDeleteNude Cleansing Oil - I use it at night and my skin feels so hydrated
Curel hand lotion - always in my bag
Dior Show Mascara - best mascara ever
Kiehl's waterproof moisturizer with SPF 25 - this moisturizer absorbs instantly and stays on in the Texas heat when I'm running
What a fun contest!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite beauty product is OPI Nail Polish. I would love to win this basket...what a fun Halloween treat that would be!
By the way, I love your books! I just read "Love the One You're With" I couldn't put it down--I read most of it in one day!!!

I used to be obsessed with buying haircare products. My favourite is KMS Curl Up and more specifically the Curling Balm.
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with my EVO honeysuckle lip balm! AMAZING!

My favorite beauty product would have to be the Lancome full line of skin care products. I know you said one, but you really can't have one without the other. The absolute replenishing cream is amazing. It adds not only mosture to my face but also makes it soft. I also love their foundation. I apply very little but it goes a long way. The best part about it is everyone thinks I have nothing on my face. You know its great makeup when people don't even realize you have it on!
ReplyDeleteI have very thick, very dry hair that never does what I want it to. Lo and behold, I tried an avocado conditioner and it worked wonders! Then, as is so common in the beauty industry, they stopped making it. I searched far and wide for something, anything, close to what I was using. It took months but I finally found one -- and it's even better than what I used before! Tresemme makes a "Naturals" conditioner called Nuturing Moisture conditioner that is made with both avocado and aloe vera. I am so unbelievably happy with this find! It manages to pull off the double whammy of intensely moisturizing my hair AND making it shine. Women looking for a great moisturizing conditioner will love this. It's very affordable and available at major stores.
ReplyDeleteGreat! I feel like part of the family sharing our beauty "secrets" lol. I don't wear a lot of makeup, just BAreMinerals Foundation because its light. You could have the sensation that you're not wearing anything. Almost naked :O) I also use Oscillation mascara by Lancome. I always end the day (and also starts it) with Fresh Face Water- Toner by L'Occitane Shea Butter (after cleansing, of course)
ReplyDeleteBLISS Red Pepper & blood orange body lotion... AHmazing! I also love Murad face wash. MAC eyeshadow in free lunch is an absolute must have. Lastly EOS (Evolution of Smooth) lip balm in summer fruit is wunderbar! :) Love ya Emily!!!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with covergirl's lash blast fusion mascara, EOS lip balms, neutrogena make-up wipes and mac's marine life highlighter (that I use as a blush) :)
ReplyDeleteI can't live without bareMinerals Tinted Mineral Veil!
ReplyDeleteI work with a sensitive "palette" and I've finally found that natural products work best on me (and the environment). derma-e's Avocado and E Creme Dry Skin Relief Formula works wonders on my combination skin! I feel great after putting it on every morning and at night...and my boyfriend loves that I smell like avocados!
ReplyDeleteCan not live without Benefit's Bad Gal Lash, we live in a small town so we only get it in a few times a year and I will by five tubes at a time. Lancome Juicy Tubes is every color possible, I have minimum of three in my bag at all times. Clinique dramatically different moisturizer is amazing. St. Ives Apricot Scrub and Satsuma Body Butter by the Body Shop. In combination these beauties make me feel fabulous ALMOST every day :)
ReplyDeleteWow! So many great products. I can't live without Buxom mascara in black which I buy at Sephora, and the best cream ever - Mary Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream. It makes my heels silky smooth :-)
ReplyDeleteFor all the insane amount of products I use, my favorite is a very simple one: The Savannah Bee Company Lip Tint in blackberry shimmer. On a recent trip to Savannah I discovered this product, used it for 3 days and when I returned home, promptly bought a tube for everyone I have ever met. I have an insane time finding a lip color that goes well with my coloring...plus I'm a chap stick addict. I found both in this product and I won't ever go back!
ReplyDeleteEmily,
ReplyDeleteI am in law school, so my beauty routine is slim to none, but I have 2 must haves! I always find time to paint my fingernails with OPI Nail Polish in Bubblebath. It is my go to color for a quick fix for the nails. I can swipe on 2 coats when I'm in a hurry and if I accidentally mess them up it is barely noticeable. My other necessary product is Vaseline. For something so cheap and accessible it is a life saver! I use it on my lips all of the time and it is a great moisturizer for dry hands in the winter. I love many of your products too!
Benefit's Erase Paste. Finally something to cover the dark circles I have fought for years!!
ReplyDeleteIt would defintely have to be Victoria's Secret melonrageous lip gloss...smells great and isn't sticky
ReplyDeleteHmmm favorite beauty product - probably Bed Head Hard Head Hairspray. Or maybe it is my perfume or my mascara or or or. Well I'll stick with the hairspray since it's all about the hair you know!
ReplyDeleteThere's an Israeli company called LALINE, they make amazing products, everytime I enter one of their stores I just can't help myself with getting something. I have to 2 must-haves:
ReplyDeleteoil-musk body mist AMAZING, and a firm blush which I also use for lips, and sadly they don't make this product anymore...

I can't-live-without Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, DiorShow Mascara, and NARS Orgasm Blush. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI use soooo many products from Arbonne. I can not live without the Arbonne FC5 Complexion Perfecting Set due to my acne and oily skin. I also LOVE Arbonne's FC5 Shower Set with their amazing shampoo and conditioner which makes your hair more manageable. One other product I can not live without is my MAC lipstick- Pretty Please, I go through one a month!
ReplyDeleteI sure can't live without my Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile Peppermint Soap! Love it because it is as natural as a soap can get, made with organic oils, multi purpose and so fresh and tingly in the shower!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great contest! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI can't live without Maybelline Great Lash mascara. But, I might have to give your Dior mascara suggestion a try. :)
hhmmm. i love my eucerin spf for everyday. i also have just started using the bene-tint liquid blush. i was afraid to try it. i thought it would be hard to use, but i love it. i also love nars orgasm blush stick. finally, i recommend the rose bud salve from smith's.
ReplyDeletefun contest!
Smashbox photo primer-- love it!!
ReplyDeleteHigh Beam by Benefit. My 35 skin is just not as dewy as it used to be. I blend High Beam high on my cheekbones and I feel like my complexion is bright again.
ReplyDeleteI simply can't live without Blistex chapstick.
ReplyDeleteMine is very simple...It's St. Ives medicated apricot face scrub. The salicylic acid keeps my face feeling clean and refreshed, the pumice textured scrub helps to scrub away old, dead skin, AND it's less than $4 a bottle! :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't do without my Bert's Bees lip balm. It's sort of an addiction. :)
ReplyDeleteI cannot live without my Noxema - a stand-by since I was 16 years old. It makes my face feel so smooth when I use it. I've been using it over 40 years.
