milwaukee

Had to stop at Milwaukee to hang with my sister (and her friends!)...

Yes, we did take a bus from the bookstore to the bar... :)

"What's black and white and read all over?" My books! By great girls in Milwaukee (who did not plan this)...

Chi-town! Lincoln Park Borders

The only reader on the tour who brought the entire backlist in hardcover!

Laura Given (check out her blog here) and her mother Marilyn are two of my very favorite people I've met through writing... Laura won a contest to come have dinner with me in Atlanta. She brought her mother. We drank too much, bonded have remained close ever since... I just know I'm going to be blurbing Laura's novel one day...

My girl, Nancy... BF, confidante and go-to first reader...

Anderson's in my hometown of Naperville, IL

Anderson's Book Shop in my hometown of Naperville, IL... love going home and seeing so many familiar faces...

Sweet book club sporting the purple...

Peeps from high school... (warm-up to our 20 yr reunion in the fall--ugh old).

st. louis saks: a party that matters

A "Party that Matters" at the Saks Fifth Avenue in St. Louis. Love this town (and this store).

Radio McGraw Milhaven of KTRS introduced me--and gossip columnist Deb Peterson asked the questions...

Great crowd (including my family in the front left!)...

Special thanks to Kathy Pieri and CheresseInk for making this party happen....

And to Colleen O'Neill and Saks Fifth Avenue!

And earlier that day, at Left Bank Books...

Sunday, May 23

back in atlanta!

Great to be back in Atlanta. Unfortunately, I managed to total my car (and another car) as I turned into Borders minutes before my event. Nothing like a few air bag burns and a fat lip before a signing...

How 'bout these girls? Of course I'm partial to identical twins--especially ones wearing these t-shirts (they gave me one of my own, too!)

Saturday, May 22

philly & west chester

Borders in Philly....

To West Chester...

First a Junior High Reunion...

Then a book signing at Chester County Book & Music...

One of the best gifts I've ever received from a reader. A "Heart of the Matter" tour scrapbook!!! Isn't it just the most??

Friday, May 21

DC

Fantastic signing at Baileys Crossroads, Virginia... First time I've had DC on my tour but it will be a permanent fixture!

Gotta love the girls who wear purple to my events!

Wake Forest alumni gathering. The guy on the far left used to date my roommate. You know I grilled him. And his wife. :)

Thursday, May 20

wellesley, MA

Book signing at French Lessons, cutest little boutique in Wellesley, MA, where HEART OF THE MATTER takes place. April, Romy, MC and Tessa shop here.

Wednesday, May 19

75 chestnut

where nick and valerie last met...

Tuesday, May 18

harvard coop

Bad blowout, great hotel (xv beacon) and city. Feeling a Nick and Tessa and Val vibe in these parts...

Saturday, May 15

book revue in Huntington, NY

Stop Three: Huntington, NY, hometown of one of my bffs Ally Wenig Jacoutot aka Hillary. Yes, I did base the character of Hillary in Something Borrowed (and guest appearance in Baby Proof) on her.

From the back:

And the front:

Fellow author Brenda Janowitz. Cook chick. Check out her books.
